With the help of his parents, he opened his restaurant at the age of 21, in July 2025, where he welcomes you in a warm and family-friendly environment.
Welcome to O Pequeno Belga!
It all started with a desire to share our Belgian culture and specialties with the people of Lourinhã and Portugal, without ever wanting to replace the delicious Portuguese cuisine. Quite the contrary: our ambition is to create a culinary bridge, a true blend of cultures, combining the best of Belgium and Portugal.
Our small shop-restaurant offers a selection of authentic Belgian products: abbey cheeses, charcuterie, chocolates, beers, spirits, sweets, homemade dishes... Many of these traditional recipes are made right here, using mainly Portuguese ingredients, carefully selected from local producers. This guarantees freshness, quality, and sustainability, while respecting the original flavors of Belgium.
We do not seek to replace Portuguese cuisine, which is the pride of the country, but to accompany it, complement it, and arouse curiosity. Tasting Flemish carbonade, a real Liège waffle, or Belgian abbey cheese is to discover new horizons—while appreciating the best that Portugal has to offer.
